Privacy Policy

Effective July 13, 2026

EZ Journal is built local-first. The short version: your trading data belongs to you, stays on your device (or in your private iCloud), and we never see it, collect it, or sell it.

What we collect

Nothing. EZ Journal has no analytics, no tracking, no ads, and no servers of our own. We cannot see your trades, screenshots, notes, P&L, email, or anything else you enter.

Where your data lives

• On your device — trades, notes, screenshots, and your profile are stored in the app's private database on your iPhone.
• Your private iCloud (optional) — if iCloud sync is available and you're signed into iCloud, Apple syncs your journal between your own devices using your private iCloud database. Only your Apple account can access it; we cannot. Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Sign in with Apple

If you choose to sign in with Apple, the app receives only the name/email that Apple shares at your direction, and stores it on your device to personalize your profile. It is not sent to us.

Subscriptions & purchases

EZ Journal Pro is billed entirely by Apple through your Apple ID. We never receive your payment details. Purchase records are managed by the App Store.

CSV imports

Files you import are parsed on your device only. They are never uploaded anywhere.

Deleting your data

Delete individual trades in the app, or use Profile → Sign out to erase everything on the device. If iCloud sync is enabled, you can also remove EZ Journal data in iPhone Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.

Children

EZ Journal is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them (we collect no information from anyone).

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
